NOTICE: The information on this page is only relevant to those patients who have been sent a text message containing a link to this webpage.
As per the text message you have received, We are currently reviewing our patients who we think have a degree of chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not currently recorded on our system as having such.
You may already be aware that you have CKD, but we are aware that not all patients may have been told about this diagnosis, as the condition is very gradual. A degree of CKD is to be expected as we get older and with conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, so there is no immediate concern. However, monitoring and treating underlying conditions is important to optimise kidney function.
There is more information about chronic kidney disease available via this link -
We will be updating your medical records to reflect that you have CKD. One of the impacts of this is that you will be invited for an annual review and blood tests, if you are not already having these done. It is important that once invited you book an appointment and attend this review.
If you have any further questions regarding this, please contact the reception team to book in for an appointment.
Kind regards,
Dr Taylor
